The Academy said that Austrian writer Peter Handke has been awarded the 2019 Nobel Prize for the important work of exploring the periphery and uniqueness of the human experience through linguistic simplicity. These authors will receive nine million Swedish kronor ($ 912,000) as prizes.

Tokarjuk was born in Sulecho, Poland in 1962 and now lives in Wroclaw. After studying psychology at the University of Warsaw, he made his debut as a fiction writer in 1993 with Podrose Ludji Kesigye (Journey of the Book-People). She became the 15th woman to win the Nobel in literature, compared to 114 men, including Handke.

Handke was born in 1942 in the village of Griffen in the Carten region of southern Austria. From 1961, he studied law at the University of Graz but gave up studies. During this time his first novel Die Hornissen was published in 1966.

A preliminary list of 200 candidates was published in February this year. Then a few months later eight finalists were selected, from which the winners were selected.

The Peace Prize will be announced on Friday. After this, those who do excellent work in the field of economy will be honored on Monday.

The awards will be presented at a ceremony in Stockholm on 10 December, which will be held on the birth anniversary of Nobel founder Alfred Nobel.
